In the spring of 2013 we were approached by Carolyn Patton at http://www.pattoncommunications.ca to assist on a project she was undertaking with ATB. Not only was it great to have the opportunity to work with such a seasoned and talented creative director such as Carolyn, the project also provided an avenue of connection with Joe Media in Calgary. This exciting project had Pulp Studios Inc. slotted in to provide title animations and assist with the design of the supers on the wegrowalberta.com video campaign.
What a blast it was pulling together animated titles for these short films. The animations were created using a combination of adobe illustrator and adobe after effects. Starting with frame by frame animation in illustrator and compositing and motion tweaks introduced in after effects.
The after effects work also included the use of some simple distortion effects to created the wobble that the animations carry.
We truly enjoyed our part in this project and appreciated the length of reign that our creative director and the folks at Joe Media provided us to pull something exciting together for them.
The final pieces and the campaign are beautiful.
